Fibermap

FIBERMAP® is a software that allows the transfer of the fiber orientation (and also other results like temperatures, pressures or transient results) from a rheological simulation (Autodesk Moldflow®, Moldex3D®, CadMould®) to a structural simulation (LS-Dyna®, Simulia Abaqus®, PamCrash®).

FIBERMAP®

In an injection molded part typical there are regions that are similar to either a plate or highly oriented (uni-directional) area. These regions differ mainly in the fiber distribution over the thickness of the part.

The resulting fiber orientation in a part means a multitude of local anisotropies that has to be considered in the structural simulation. Only then more accurate simulation results closer to reality are achieved.

Fibermap 2

By default, the coordinate systems of the rheological and structural simulation and so the parts are oriented different in space. Therefore, the parts have to be superposed correctly to guarantee a proper transfer of the fiber orientation. FIBERMAP® enables this by an automatic fit as well as by entering coordinates of reference points. Structural meshes from LS-Dyna®, Simulia Abaqus® and Nastran are supported at the moment.

To simplify the process FIBERMAP® contains a workflow, so that the user gets the result within some clicks.
