The material Hostacom XBR169, a talc filled PP, was characterized and material cards based on three common material models were generated and compared. Finally, failure was considered and the resulting material card *MAT_SAMP-1 with *MAT_ADD_EROSION (GISSMO) was validated on a small part.

This example shows the usage of *MAT_215/ *MAT_4A_MICROMEC, which is a micromechanically based material model with plasticity and strain rate dependence. Using such a model the anisotropy because of the resulting fiber orientation can be reproduced very well.
