On June 25, 2026, our Japanese sales partner JSOL held the IMPETUS®/VALIMAT® User Conference 2026 in Nagoya, bringing together leading Japanese automotive OEMs and suppliers to exchange knowledge on material model identification and testing technology.

From Test Data to Validated Material Models
As high performance materials such as plastics, CFRP, and foams continue to grow more sophisticated and diverse, the need for highly precise material models keeps increasing. IMPETUS®, our dynamic testing device for plastic materials, and VALIMAT®, our software suite for material parameter identification, are established core technologies supporting this work across the industry in Japan and beyond.
At the conference, JSOL presented case studies on parameter identification using real material test data, along with practical approaches for improving analysis accuracy, confirming once again that efficiency and precision gains are achievable across the full process from testing to CAE model creation.
Recycled Materials Take Center Stage
Recycled materials were a major topic at this year‘s conference. Driven by growing circular economy requirements and the ELV (End of Life Vehicle) Directive, participating companies showed strong interest in fast, reliable material data acquisition for recycled materials, an application area where the IMPETUS® and VALIMAT® workflow is already being used successfully.
